Sorry if this is a dumb question. I just joined and am still learning. I read when I first joined that people who didn't have screenreaders could use SAPI, but it was written in such a way that the RS Games client would default to that. Is there a way to play without a screenreader? I really like the service and want my boyfriend to join me and a few of my friends so that we can have tournaments and stuff. Would he be able to use the mouse, too, or would he be confined to the keystrokes? I think those are handy, but they sure are different and a bit to get used to. Also, any random and useful tips I should know about RS Games? Thanks!

Without a screen reader, the RSG client should work, though it will likely display little or nothing. It may be best for your friends to use the rsgames web site, where they can mouse and keyboard. The web version of the rsg client is meant to run on IE, Safari, Firefox, perhaps Epiphany and Opera, and on mobile devices.

I have not been able to get the RSG web client to work... but I know that on a game like Monopoly the desktop client doesn't show a picture of the board, so it would be pretty broing for husband to play when I am out of town. Any ideas?

Okay! I'll let him try both and see which he prefers. Thanks!

Your parents could play on the web site. Maybe they'd prefer the true rsg experience of using the speech-and-keyboard-only client? lol.
